As I mentioned in a previous post I had a fabulous opportunity to work on a large multi-illustration project with the team at Think Christian, a digital magazine that strives to consider how popular culture and its cultivators interact with God’s story. The team’s spiritual takes on secular pop culture are fresh and relevant, addressing topics like white saviorism, unconventional Christmas movies, a christian defense of the horror genre. I’m always fascinated by the creative and theological lens they look at pop culture with. For TC Movie Club’s “O Brothers Where Art Thou?” series, editor, writer, film critic and podcaster, Josh Larsen, tackled old and new testament themes that run through the films of brothers Joel and Ethan Coen. I featured Fargo, O Brother Where Art Thou, and the series cover design and illustration that acted as the promotional image for the series, in another blog post. In this post I wanted to share the final two pieces in the series, True Grit and No Country for Old Men.
